How to Make an Ocean - Performance
"How to Make an Ocean - the Performance Workshop" is a guided
group experience - a"meditation" performed by artist with the help of "Moirologist Bot".
The artist takes audience through her research on possibilty of cultivating marine ecosystems in human tears,
playing with the prompts, lighting, visuals and time to first create an ambient so that participants feel safe
enough to allow themselves to cry.
Each member of the audience is provided with a "tears' lab set", shall they cry, they can collect their tears.
The second part of the performance is chorepgraphed demonstration of how to harvest tears using the Tears Tools
and turn them into the mini-oceans.
Participants have a choice to take their mini-oceans with them, or donate them to How to Make an Ocean
collection of tears, which then become a permanent part of this artwork.
