FRAMED CONTEMPlATIONS

"Framed Contemplations" - excerpt from the video installation

"FRAMED CONTEMPLATIONS"

"Framed Contemplations" is an ongoing series of videos and photographs of people contemplating their environment. What sort of environment make us happy? Does it depend on its looks? Design? Memories? People? Can nature influence our emotional reaction to where we are? The pervasive project contains a bespoke frame, with two GoPros attached to it. The frame is a pretext and agent to invite people to take it to their least favourite or most favourite location and look at it quietly for a minute or two. The recorded portrait with 120 frames per second is then play back in slow motion together with the recorded landscape run through code which looks for the percentage of colour green in the picture.
